Several years ago, I found myself in a unique situation that left me mentally paralyzed. I was stuck in an emotional sinkhole, which was new territory.
Why?
I don’t know a single person that would call me emotional. I was taught to hold my emotions and feelings internally, not letting anyone see them.
But everyone close to me could see that I felt like I was
wasting my efforts on unimportant tasks,
feeling unnoticed and unappreciated,
set up for failure.
I was working against a flow that wasn’t shared with me and didn’t want to involve me.
I was dissatisfied and aimless - not because I wanted to be.
I was purposefully placed in a situation that guaranteed these feelings, and I didn’t know how I got there.
Reflection
Processing these feelings took longer than I had anticipated. What initially presented as frustration, anger, and feelings of betrayal led to something so much more profound, and it changed my life and leadership.
It launched a new mission in me—to guide people through their lives significant challenges, helping them gain the skills and confidence to walk proudly into chaos.
I was led to understand several key questions that everyone is asking.
In every day.
Every project.
Every interaction.
In every mind.
Questions that Every Person Asks
These questions need to be answered each day, and represent a core set of opportunities to define or redefine our identity.
Because they cut through most of the protections that we build up.
What are the questions?
1. Am I doing the right things?
2. Are my contributions valuable?
3. Am I empowered to be effective?
4. Are my actions aligned with essential goals?
5. Do I find purpose and fulfillment?
Over the next five weeks, we’ll explore these questions in depth, explaining both the impact of the question and when to know how to address the related fears and struggles.
Your journey to how you answer these questions matters. Because you matter. We want to inspire and help you find confidence and clarity through the most challenging times. We’re here for you.
